In this third installment of our five-part series, we explore one of the most impactful forces in shaping our personal energy: our emotions. In the previous episodes, we dove into the concept of personal energy and how it influences the way we interact with the world around us. We began by understanding our aura and how our thoughts, feelings, and actions create vibrations that affect how we are perceived. Then, we explored how shifting our mindset from one of self-doubt to empowerment can dramatically transform the energy we carry, ultimately unlocking our true potential.
Now, in Episode 3, we take it a step further by delving into the energetic underpinnings of our emotions. Emotions are not just fleeting reactions to external stimuli—they are powerful energetic forces that influence our overall well-being. In this episode, we’ll explore how unresolved emotions can impact our lives and the profound transformation that occurs when we confront and release them.

Introduction to the Significance of Emotions
Emotions are an essential yet often overlooked aspect of our energetic makeup. They aren’t just feelings we experience in reaction to events—they are energy in motion, flowing through us, shaping our mental, physical, and spiritual health. When we learn to understand and embrace emotions as energetic currents, we can harness their power to support our well-being.
Emotions flow through us like electricity through a wire. They carry vibrations that influence our personal energy field, affecting how we feel, how we interact with others, and how we experience life. The key to maintaining balance and health is processing emotions as they arise. But when we resist, suppress, or ignore our emotions, they can accumulate and cause blockages in our energy, leading to stress, tension, and even illness. As the saying goes, what you resist, persists.
How Emotions Shape Our Energetic Field
Our emotions create ripples in the energetic field around us. Each emotion carries a specific vibration—joy vibrates at a higher frequency, while grief, anger, or fear vibrate at lower frequencies. These vibrations interact with our body’s energy system, including our chakras and meridians, as well as the energetic space we share with others.
When emotions flow freely and are processed, they help maintain harmony in our energy field. But when we suppress them, they stagnate, creating energetic blockages. These blockages can manifest in the body as physical symptoms—tension, chronic pain, or even illness. Think of it like a dam holding back water. If the water isn’t allowed to flow, pressure builds up until the dam bursts. Similarly, unresolved emotions can build pressure in our bodies, eventually leading to health problems.
Recognizing and Addressing Unresolved Emotions
We all carry unresolved emotions, often buried deep within us. These may be old wounds from childhood, unprocessed grief, or pain from past experiences that we’ve never fully allowed ourselves to feel. Many of us, especially those raised to be strong or keep our emotions in check, have learned to suppress these feelings. But suppressed emotions don’t disappear—they linger, affecting our energy and our lives in subtle yet profound ways.
A personal example that stands out is my mother’s experience with unresolved grief. She was taught to “keep it together” and never express her emotions, especially grief. Over the years, this led to chronic lung issues, which, according to Chinese medicine, are often linked to grief. Her inability to process her emotions became a literal blockage in her body, preventing her from fully breathing in life.
Watching her struggle with this gave me a deeper understanding of how emotions are tied to our physical health. It also inspired me to help others, including my youngest son, process their emotions before they become energy blockages. We actively encourage him to talk about his feelings, to “get it off his chest,” and to release whatever emotional energy doesn’t serve him. This simple practice of emotional release is transformative for both him and our entire family.
Techniques for Emotional Healing
So, how can we begin to address and release unresolved emotions? One of the most effective methods I’ve found is the Emotion Code by Bradley Nelson. This technique helps identify trapped emotions within the body and release them without having to relive the trauma. The beauty of this approach is that it focuses on the energy itself, rather than revisiting painful memories or stories.
I personally had a breakthrough while watching the documentary E-Motion, which taught me how to release trapped emotions. Through this practice, I began to recognize where emotions were stored in my body and to release them with intention. By not attaching to the thoughts or memories connected to these emotions, I was able to free myself from their hold, allowing my energy to flow more freely.
Another vital aspect of emotional healing is allowing ourselves to feel our emotions fully without judgment. Sometimes, this means allowing ourselves to cry. Crying isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a natural release for the body and mind, a way of letting go of what no longer serves us. As I’ve experienced firsthand, crying without resistance can be incredibly liberating.
Sharing Transformative Emotional Journeys
Let me share a personal story of what it feels like to release emotional energy. The first time I allowed myself to cry fully, without any judgment or resistance, it was a liberating experience. With each tear, I felt years of emotional buildup releasing from my body. It wasn’t just sadness I felt—it was relief, freedom, and a sense of letting go. I wasn’t attached to the emotions or the stories; I was simply allowing the energy to move through me.
This practice of emotional release is not only healing but also empowering. When we stop resisting our emotions and allow them to flow, we free ourselves from emotional baggage. The more we practice this, the lighter we feel, and the more we create space for new, positive energy to enter our lives.
